Kronthaler: "Thank you very much….. I tried to be quite traditional. Keep it a bit back. Just a little play. It’s about choice. It’s to give people choice, I think.There’s not one thing. Every woman is different. She has to find the right dress. The most important dress in the life of a girl or a woman.”

“We knew this for half a year, or more than that. We had this invitation to come to Barcelona to be part of this bridal fair. Which I so much enjoyed. The last three days were really great. I was a bit worried about it -what I was going to do here? Because it is a different world. Bridal world is different to Paris prêt-à-porter fashion shows. But the whole event was so fantastically organized. The people are so nice and kind. It was just a pleasure.”

STORYLINE:
Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week’s main event was the presentation of Vivienne Westwood’s bridal collection Thursday at the iconic University of Barcelona central building.
Westwood’s widower Andreas Kronthaler was the partner designer of the fashion power house’s 2026 Bridal collection, its first exclusively dedicated to bridal designs.
Over 30 new dresses were presented during the fashion show that ended with the designer walking the runway dressed in bridal designs and being cheered by guests at the show.
Kronthaler said, "I tried to be quite traditional. Keep it a bit back. Just a little play. It’s about choice. It’s to give people choice, I think.There’s not one thing. Every woman is different. She has to find the right dress. The most important dress in the life of a girl or a woman.”
Barcelona Bridal Week runs through Saturday.
