"I heard a sound, then I saw a flash and that was it. I was lying under the door of the closet. I started trying to save my mother, she was lying in the room at that moment with the dog. My sisters’ room was covered by a large closet. The apartment is not the main thing, the main thing is that there are no more such nice people, that’s the most difficult thing."

"I still come back to my house when I see their house, I can’t believe it, as if I’m in a dream now. Yesterday we tried to remember with laughter the stories that were connected with Danylo, because every day he had some funny stories and it was always fun to laugh at them. Today is difficult again, like the first day, like the second, like all these days."

STORYLINE:
Hundreds of people bid farewell to the Khudia’s family,on Monday, killed in a Russian missile attack on Kyiv on Thursday night.
The attack on Ukraine’s capital killed 12 people and injured more than 80.
Among the dead was 17-year-old Danylo Khudia, his mother Viktoria and father Oleh who were sleeping at their house.
Only 14-year-old Yana Khudia survived. She is still in hospital.
Family, friends, classmates, and neighbours of the family attended their funerals on Monday.
Oleh Khudia was a serviceman and was injured in the war.
Danylo Khudia was popular among friends, and liked to play football and basketball.
