STORYLINE:
Crowds of Lady Gaga fans gathered outside the Copacabana Palace hotel hoping to get a glimpse of the pop diva on Friday in Rio de Janeiro.
Many cheered and sang wearing Lady Gaga t-shirts and customized fans while others donned full costumes and performed for the overall thrill.
“More than waiting for her, to be able to gather all these people that are here for one reason, the love for Lady Gaga,” said performer Maya Drag after dancing with other drag queens. "It’s more about us being together and bring all this love."
The sidewalks around the hotel and next to the stage were completely flooded with Gaga fans.
Lady Gaga takes the stage this Saturday on Copacabana Beach in what could become the biggest performance of her career.
The free show is expected to draw a massive crowd, Rio’s city hall estimates up to 1.6 million people will gather along the iconic beachfront for the event.
