Donald Trump says he wants to end all wars and yet it looks like he’s unleashing one on his country’s higher education system. Tensions have been escalating between the Trump administration and one of the world’s most prestigious universities, Harvard. The White House has given Harvard an ultimatum to ditch diversity programs and muzzle campus activism or lose billions in federal funding. Harvard is pushing back hard, calling the demands a political power grab and vowing to defend academic freedom in court. DW Washington Bureau chief Ines Pohl met with international students, some of whom face uncertainty over their visas, research, and futures in the US.
