1. SOUNDITE (English) Prabal Gurung, designer – on friendship with Zoe Saldana:
"She was an up and coming actor. But the way she was curious about the clothes, she was like, ‘Oh my God, how is this done?’ And I just immediately fell in love. There was something in her, I felt, this was almost like 20 years ago, right? And so then we started hanging out. We would dress her. There was a Met Gala after after party that we went to, and I took her. And we spent countless nights talking about our dreams and desires and hopes and, you know, and one day, you now, as I was planning to launch my, I was still at Bill Blass, and I used to smoke at the time, I don’t encourage anyone to do so, and we were like both outside drinking iced coffee, I’ll never forget, in front of Parsons on 40th Street and 7th Avenue. We were sitting there, and she told me about this movie that she got with James Cameron. ((dissolve)) Her first film that came out was ‘Star Trek’ in Germany in Berlin and she wore the red dress that I first made ever and for my presentation she showed up, you know."
