STORYLINE:
An Israeli airstrike hit a house in Jabaliya in the northern Gaza Strip on Thursday.
Residents and bystanders were seen scrambling for safety as a big plume of smoke rose into the air.
The Israeli military said it had ordered the evacuation of the house beforehand.
The airstrike came after a night of overnight airstrikes on the city of Khan Younis left over 50 people killed.
A cameraman of The Associated Press counted at least 10 airstrikes on the city overnight into Thursday and saw numerous bodies taken Nasser Hospital.
The hospital morgue confirmed at least 54 people had been killed.
