Last month’s Islamist attack in Indian-administered Kashmir marked the start of fresh hostilities with India. The two nuclear powers exchanged cross-border fire and came close to war. Now a ceasefire is in place, but tensions remain high. The border is still closed, separating families and blocking Pakistanis from accessing critical medical treatment in India.
