STORYLINE:
Angelina Jolie, Halle Berry and Juliette Binoche were some of the stars attending the Chopard Trophy gala in Cannes Friday night.
Jolie, who presented the awards to promising up-and-coming actors Marie Colomb and Finn Bennett at the ceremony, revealed what she thought she wished she knew at the beginning of her career.
"I think you just have to live through everything in life, right ? With whatever comes, we can’t know," she said.
Former French First Lady and singer Carla Bruni said she wished she was easier on herself at the start of her career.
"I wish at the beginning of my career I knew how to how to love myself more instead of always being afraid of something, and that I don’t have anymore and there’s a privilege with age," revealed Bruni.
She was set to perform at the event.
Other guests included Quentin Tarantino and Alba Rohrwacher.
