4. SOUNDBITE (Ukrainian) Andrii Sybiha, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister:
"Today we discussed in detail the bilateral and international agenda, primarily the peace process and the need for a complete ceasefire, the release of prisoners and other issues. We are grateful for the facilitation of these efforts and count on modal support from Ankara. Hakan has just returned from Moscow and he informed me in detail about what he heard and saw there. We discussed all the steps that bring peace closer for Ukraine."

7. SOUNDBITE (Ukrainian) Andrii Sybiha, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister:
"Ukraine is committed to peace efforts. We have accepted the US proposal for a ceasefire, for a peace process. Now the ball is in Russia’s court. Russia must accept a reckless ceasefire that will open the way for further, broader negotiations, for our peace efforts, for the approach of a just, comprehensive, sustainable peace for Ukraine. Therefore, we need to put pressure on Russia to hear from them a "yes" to a ceasefire."

9. SOUNDBITE (Ukrainian) Andrii Sybiha, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister:
"We are interested in these meetings continuing because we want to end this war this year and we are interested in establishing a ceasefire. Whether it is for 30 days, 50 days, or 100 days, Ukraine is open to discussing this directly with Russia. We confirmed this during the last meeting of our delegations with the Russian side."

11. SOUNDBITE (Ukrainian) Andrii Sybiha, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister:
"Ukraine, based on the results of the previous meeting in Istanbul, has already conveyed to the Russian side its vision of further steps. Its vision regarding our further peace efforts, in particular regarding the parameters of the future ceasefire. We are also waiting for a memorandum from the Russian side, as announced. We are waiting for it in advance. This was also promised to the American side. Therefore, in order for the next meeting, which is planned, to be substantive and objective, it is important to receive a document in advance so that the delegation that will be there has the authority to discuss the relevant positions."

13. SOUNDBITE (Ukrainian) Andrii Sybiha, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister:
"There were three agreements there (in Istanbul). Let me remind you of the exchange of prisoners of war. The exchange of views on the parameters of the ceasefire. And the third position, in fact, was to start working in teams on the format of the neutral venue for the future meeting at the level of presidents, that is, at the level of Zelenskyy and Putin. And, of course, we welcome it if this meeting takes place in a more expanded format, in particular with the participation of President Trump."
