"I have seen people online openly celebrating this attack, saying that they deserved it because they are Zionists. And when we just shrug this off and say, oh, these people just disagree with us, no, they disagree with the fundamental values of American society. And we need to recognize that people who condone this violence and people who commit this violence, this is not a one-off thing. This is becoming more and more common in America. And as a community, we need rally together to confront this ideology and call it out when we see it. We can’t just stay silent and walk away from these protests. We need to recognize that these protests are a big deal because they’re going to lead to more of this. And it scares me, but it also makes me more motivated than ever to confront the ideology behind it."

"When we talk about Zionism in a negative light, we need to critique the ideology, not the people. We can sit down and have a discussion about Zionism, but when we start saying Zionists deserve to die, that’s when it becomes dangerous and that’s what leads to something like this happening."

"I felt a lot of shock, I didn’t quite know how to process it. There was some anger, there was sadness, grief, a lot things mixed together and today I’ve really been kind of sitting with all of that and trying to be with it and that’s the reason I came over today to kind of offer my respects to those who were affected by it."

"This kind of pain and suffering has been going on in our world for a long time. And it’s heartbreaking to see it up close. And I think we can’t ignore it is the first step. Just being aware that this is real. People are dying, people are suffering, people need help. Even if there’s nothing we can do immediately, just holding that with loving awareness and sending prayers. Not ignoring it, not pretending like it’s not happening, because when it shows up in your backyard, it’s, yeah, not something that you can just easily turn away from when it affects the safety of your communities, so.."
