"This is important to me. So it’s been at Hampton Court Palace for years in a box , which is why it looks so pristine now. So, I shouldn’t be surprised, but I was when I saw what amazing condition it’s in. And it tells the story of Emanuel, us in the ’80s, how we designed, how it’s made, everything is there, the gathers around the skirt, and this fabric is so beautiful. So that’s why it’s very special and I called it the sister dress because in a way it is. There’s there’s nothing else like it apart from Princess Diana’s actual dress. So it brings back memories."

"Diana no doubt was a fashion icon. And I think people connected with her because they could see her journey as well. Because she wasn’t into fashion in the beginning, as people know, she was a nursery school teacher. And when she came to us, she didn’t really have any interest in fashion and then she met our clothes and everything changed. So I think people resonate with that. They could see through the years her style was changing as she evolved and developed her own style. And that was wonderful for us to know we were there at the beginning."
