2. SOUNDBITE (English) Tariq Aldahir, electrician:
"So, I’m the electrician and I’ve been wiring this house for the past two weeks. I came here this morning and they kicked the door open. You could see this damage to the door right here, kicked it in, kicked it in and they left the back door open, the gate open, left the window open. And I asked the neighbor, you know, what happened? She said the police kicked it in. I said, okay. So I called the homeowner who hired me to do this job here, I called him, he’s been trying to ask around, call the police to figure out what happened. So we’re not sure if it was the police who actually kicked it down or it was somebody else. Nothing was obviously stolen, but from what I gathered Antoine Massey was next door at 1708 and 1710 at those apartments and, you know, LSP (Louisiana State Police) and NOPD (New Orleans Police Department) was here last night and they were looking for him. Unfortunately they didn’t find him"

STORYLINE:
Authorities failed to recapture escaped New Orleans inmate Antoine Massey after a search on Tuesday, an Associated Press source says.

Massey was not at the New Orleans home on the edge of the Fairgrounds and Gentilly neighborhoods, the official said, but authorities did locate clothing they believe to be his.

Tariq Aldahir, an electrician, said he arrived this morning to find the door to property he was working — next door to where Massey had reportedly stayed at — had been kicked in and the backdoor, gate and windows were open.

"He could have been there the whole time, he could have been there just last night, I don’t know," Aldahir said. "Because I have never seen anybody come in and out that house."
