++The Associated Press is adhering to Iranian law that stipulates all media are banned from providing BBC Persian, VOA Persian, Manoto TV and Iran International any coverage from Iran, and under this law if any media violate this ban the Iranian authorities can immediately shut down that organisation in Tehran.++

"Undoubtedly, the response to confrontation will not be more cooperation. The Islamic Republic of Iran has prepared a series of steps and measures. The other side is more or less aware of our capabilities and capacities in this regard. Definitely, based on upcoming developments, we will implement a range of measures with coordination with the atomic energy organization and other relevant bodies."

"If negotiation is defined as an active bilateral process involving mutual exchange of concessions, and any offer is a product of the process, then I can say that the U.S. offer didn’t have these properties and was not the result of 4 or 5 rounds of talks. We will submit our own proposal to the other party soon, via Oman. It’s a reasonable, logical and balanced proposal. We advise the Americans to make sure to appreciate the opportunity. It’s definitely to America’s betterment to seriously consider our proposal."

STORYLINE:
Iran on Monday threatened to take a range of reciprocal steps if the U.N. nuclear watchdog passes a resolution against the country’s nuclear program.
"Undoubtedly, the response to confrontation will not be more cooperation. The Islamic Republic of Iran has prepared a series of steps and measures. The other side is more or less aware of our capabilities and capacities in this regard," said Esmail Baghaei, Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman.
He made the comments during a weekly briefing in Tehran.
Western nations are planning to table a resolution at a meeting of the U.N.’s nuclear agency that will find Iran in non-compliance with its so-called safeguards obligations for the first time in 20 years, a senior western diplomat said Thursday.
The draft resolution will be jointly tabled by France, the U.K. and Germany, known as the E3, together with the United States, the senior Western diplomat said.
The move comes at a sensitive time as U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration seeks to reach a deal with Tehran to limit its nuclear program.
The two sides have held several rounds of talks, so far without agreement.
Baghaei also implied that Iran has rejected an offer made by the U.S. following five round of high-stakes negotiations over Tehran’s nuclear program, and is preparing it’s own offer.
Baghaei also called the seizure of a Gaza-bound aid boat by Israel a criminal act.
