6. SOUNDBITE (Hungarian) Tibor Kovács, head of the Oroszlány Fishing Association:
"This place is not only for the fishermen, but also for their family members, their friends. They like to come here on Fridays and stay till Sunday night. It is ideal for a long weekend, but some people come on vacation for weeks. So it’s not just for fishing, some can make a full holiday here. The lake has 450 piers for fishing, and this attracts most of the people.”

11. SOUNDBITE (Hungarian) Erzsébet Gáspár, home owner:
"First of all, I was struck by being out in nature here. And this place is a life story for everyone. I really like to talk to people, I really like to get to know them. And here I’ve learnt that there are no two properties which are the same, just like no two owners who are even similar.”

12. Various of floating houses
13. SOUNDBITE (Hungarian) István Barabás, home owner:
"The old coal miners were the ones who got the permission to build the wooden piers first. And later, they passed from fathers to sons, and houses were added. Some people keep the inherited properties as they were to remember their childhood. And the lake’s community sticks together, we have a very good relationship.”

15. SOUNDBITE (Hungarian) András Inczédi, home owner:
"First, I came here as a child, when I was 9 years old. I fell in love with fishing here, and I’ve learned to swim here. I practically grew up on this lake, and I have been spending all my summers here ever since.”

16. SOUNDBITE (Hungarian) András Inczédi, home owner: (looking out the window)
"You can see the power plant from here. It was renovated recently and seems to be working again. However, not at its full capacity as before. But it heats and circulates the water of our lake.”

17. Various of power plant on the shore of the lake
18. Drone shot of the power plant and floating houses on the lake ++MUTE++
19. SOUNDBITE (Hungarian) Tibor Kovács, head of the Oroszlány Fishing Association:
"Here, at the same time, we are connected to a so-called industrial area and a natural environment. Many animals know that it is a peaceful place where they can find safety. The power plant does not bother them at all. There are even otters in the water. I haven’t seen a beaver yet, but I hear they’re having a great time too. The area around the power plant is considered a closed industrial zone; hunting is prohibited, so besides the fish, every living creature finds peaceful conditions here.”
