“I was there in Zahedan for the last three months for my studies, but now the situation there had deteriorated due to the war between Israel and Iran, so they (Iranian authorities) have sent all of us Pakistan back due to security reasons.”

“As you are aware, due to the Iran-Israel conflict, the situation was very bad, that’s why we decided to come back to Pakistan and the nearest border to Zahedan is Taftan, so we came here, our families were very worried about us.”

STORYLINE:
Pakistan’s embassy in Iran’s capital Tehran is organising evacuations for citizens who want to leave because of the conflict with Israel.
There are more than 20,000 Pakistanis in Iran, according to embassy officials.
Some students have left through embassy-organized evacuations.
The first group of 160 Pakistanis arrived at the Taftan border.
Student Hassan Munawar said the situation was “very bad”.
“Our families were very worried about us,” he told the Associated Press.
Pakistan said the repatriations are voluntary and nobody is being forced to go.
But a fuel shortage is making it harder to leave Tehran especially, with one Pakistani diplomat saying that gas stations have cut rations from 20 liters to 10 litters in a matter of days.
It comes as Iran fired a new wave of missile attacks at Israel early Monday, killing at least eight people, while Israel warned hundreds of thousands of people in the middle of Tehran to evacuate ahead of new strikes.
The warning came on the fourth day of the conflict, when the Israeli military claimed it had achieved air superiority above the Iranian capital and could fly over the city without facing major threats.
The Israeli army has issued similar evacuation warnings for civilians in parts of Gaza and Lebanon ahead of strikes.
