The United States has joined Israel’s war on Iran. US President Donald Trump says American Air force bombers destroyed key Iranian nuclear sites, including the Natanz, Esfahan and Fordo facilities. US defence secretary Pete Hegseth and Air Force General Dan Caine held a press conference, in which Secretary Hegseth said the US military strikes were an incredible and overwhelming success, and that that they have obliterated Tehran’s nuclear ambitions. General Caine confirmed the first operational use of bunker-buster bombs.
