STORYLINE:
Ramallah’s sky in the West Bank was lit up in the early hours of Saturday as Israel air defence systems intercepted a new barrage of Iranian missiles fired at Israel.
Projectiles could be seen in the sky as sirens sounded just after midnight.
Israel and Iran have struck at one another again a week into their war as US President Donald Trump weighs involvement as new diplomatic efforts appear to be taking place.
On Friday, Israeli airstrikes reached into the city of Rasht on the Caspian Sea early Friday, Iranian media reported Friday as the war reached the one-week mark.
The Israeli military said it has destroyed missile systems and radar installations around Isfahan.
Meanwhile Iran has targeted on Friday various cities in Israel. Rambam hospital in the port city of Haifa said it received 19 wounded people from the site of an Iranian missile strike. Two people had serious-to-moderate injuries and the rest were lightly hurt, the hospital said.
A week of Israeli strikes on Iran have killed at least 657 people and wounded 2,037 others, the Washington-based group Human Rights Activists said Friday.
