Syria’s Christian community has been left reeling following a suicide bombing at a Greek Orthodox church near Damascus last Sunday. At least 25 people were killed and dozens injured in the blast. Syria’s Greek Orthodox Patriarch blamed SyrianPresident Ahmed al-Sharaa – formerly a member of al-Qaeda – and his government for not doing enough to ensure the security of all Syrians.
