An Israeli airstrike killed over 30 people at a seaside cafe in Gaza City on Monday. Among the dead were children and at least one journalist. Eyewitnesses say everyone present was a civilian, and that one group was celebrating a birthday. On the same day, eyewitnesses say Israeli soldiers killed over 20 people seeking aid near a Gaza Humanitarian Fund aid distribution point.
