Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has asked Germany to supply additional IRIS-T air-defense systems to counter heavy Russian drone and missile attacks. He was discussing this issue with German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul during a meeting in the Ukrainian capital. Wadephul was accompanied on his surprise trip to Kyiv by senior representatives of German defense companies. Meanwhile Russia claims its air force destroyed 60 Ukrainian drones during the night.
