STORYLINE:
LEADIN:

Japan’s final H2A rocket launch is expected to take place on June 29.

MHI plans to send the 50th and last H2A rocket to space before fully transitioning to its successor model, the H3 rocket.

STORYLINE:

This is the core part of the rocket H2A’s body on display at the Tobishima plant in Nagoya Prefecture.

It was shown as part of a commemoration ceremony last September.

The complete rocket, once all the parts are connected, is 53 metres long, weighing 289 tons, excluding the satellite.
