The president of Iran has ordered the country to suspend its cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The UN’s nuclear watchdog had played a crucial role in ensuring Iran did not build nuclear weapons. The official suspension will further limit the agency’s ability to monitor Iran’s nuclear activities, with its inspectors shut out. The United States describes Tehran’s new position as ‘unacceptable’
