Wildfires in southern France lead to closure of Marseille Airport | DW News

Officials say a wildfire that reached Marseille has lost intensity, but firefighters are still battling flames on the outskirts of France’s second largest city. The wildfire has left more than 100 people injured and burnt down dozens of homes. Plumes of smoke blanketed parts of the city and forced the closure of the airport on Tuesday. Officials said the blaze was caused by a car that caught on fire.
