"My collection for this runway show is called ‘This version of you’, and it’s just an expression of the woman. The woman is many things, she is becoming, she is strong, she’s powerful. And she were different things at the same time. So, you see my collection, you see some of my pieces are sturdy structures, some of them are more playful. It just shows different phases the woman is in her life, and this is the version of that woman. So, I try to put that out you know, for the world to see."

"There’s a lot of young people, particularly across Africa, that need to acquire knowledge, gain experience, get information, have mentors, to grow their fashion business. But there’s not enough people out there, there’s not enough resources out there for that to happen. So, a lot them are roaming around without that knowledge, without that information, with no one to teach them. And they’re learning the hard way. They’re making lots and lots of mistakes. But what we are here to do is to reduce your mistakes by giving you that experience, giving you that knowledge, giving you that information."

"I think the biggest discern for me, and concern, is that governments across Africa, and I’m excluding South Africa from this at the moment, don’t understand the power of fashion and the fashion ecosystem. If you look at the United Kingdom, they give the British Fashion Council £40 million, £40 million a year to help develop the industry. In Nigeria, we don’t get that support."
