There are more than 3,000 individual fantastic Lego models created in the park and they are all built hand by hand, handcrafted by Lego model designers spread throughout the world that have put these fantastic models together on the display.”

“China is a big, big market. It has a capture area for us within two hours’ drive time of more than 55 million people that can reach the park here in Jinshan in the suburbs of China (Shanghai). And in addition to that, the whole Yangtze River Delta region with about 200 million people is available for us also to come and visit the park on a short-term basis.”

Spanning approximately 318,000 square meters (about 74 acres), the resort includes a themed hotel, several restaurants, live shows and interactive zones.
John Jakobsen, an executive at Merlin Entertainments, which manages Legoland parks in several countries, said the Shanghai park features more than 3,000 models built with 85 million Lego bricks.
“We have a fairly good estimate that there should be about 85 million Lego bricks in this park. There are more than 3,000 individual fantastic Lego models created in the park and they are all built hand by hand, handcrafted by Lego model designers spread throughout the world that have put these fantastic models together on the display,” he says.
