A JUDGE OVERTURNED THE FORMER NEW YORK POLICE OFFICER’S 2013 KIDNAPPING CONSPIRACY CONVICTION IN A BIZARRE CASE THAT ALSO ACCUSED HIM OF PLOTTING TO KILL AND EAT YOUNG WOMEN.
VALLE’S LAWYERS HAD ARGUED THAT THE ALLEGED PLOTS WERE FANTASY… ONLINE ROLE PLAY THAT NEVER PUT ANYONE IN HARM’S WAY.

"This case is not just about Gill Valle, it’s about really the bed rock core values of our legal system, that here in this country we still do have freedom of thought and the government shouldn’t be in our head and can’t be in our head."
PROSECUTORS HAD ARGUED THAT VALLE TOOK STEPS TO CARRY OUT HIS PLOT, INCLUDING LOOKING UP TARGETS ON A LAW ENFORCEMENT DATABASE AND SEARCHING THE WEB FOR HOW TO KNOCK SOMEONE OUT WITH CHLOROFORM.
VALLE WAS ALSO CONVICTED OF A MISDEMEANOR COUNT OF ILLEGALLY ACCESSING A LAW ENFORCEMENT DATABASE AND WILL REMAIN IN HOME DETENTION UNTIL SENTENCING.
HIS ATTORNEY SAYS THE 21 MONTHS VALLE SERVED WILL COVER ANY POTENTIAL JAIL TIME.
