Expert: Syrian ‘state will collapse’ if it doesn’t incorporate other minorities into gov’t | DW News

At least 99 people have been killed in southern Syria, as sectarian clashes between Sunni Bedouin tribal groups and Druze militias continue for a second day. According to the AFP news agency, Syrian government forces sent to restore order have captured a Druze village while they advance towards the city of Sweida.
Since the fall of President Bashar al-Assad last year, Druze fighters have clashed with forces loyal to the new government on several occasions. Meanwhile, Israel says it has struck several Syrian tanks advancing towards Sweida to protect the Druze religious minority.
