“I’ve done some small collaboration with the AI and it’s marvellous for suggesting possible ways, directions, to take the music, for suggesting sounds and it’s a really good tool to work with. It reminds me of 1982. I went to a music store, I bought a LinnDrum serial number 003. And at the time, LinnDrum was very controversial. It was the first drum machine to use digital sounds of actual drums, so every drummer in the world thought it was Armageddon for them. But I could see that it was just a tool that would help. I bought serial number 003, Prince bought 002.”
