"I was thinking of buying a container, but I saw that the price of containers had gone up and I couldn’t afford to buy one. So I put a minibus I took from work and covered it with all this soil, at least to protect us from shrapnels."

"Even though it’s not the best, it is what we have. The little children, the babies, feel better (with it). It’s just that at least they don’t see the missiles, and therefore they are less afraid. And down there, they don’t hear the alarm so loudly, so it’s better."

"Even though it’s very expensive, families can collect the money from brothers, from sisters, they can do it. The problem is that when they do it, the state will come and destroy it (the shelter). So we are asking the state to let the people build their shelters alone. We are not asking the state for money."

"As for the fear, it was terrifying. We witnesses the real difficult situation in unrecognized villages where there are no shelters. Children screamed, and mothers feared more for their children than for themselves. They (mothers) were thinking about their children while they were screaming, feeling stomach pain, scared and crying out, ‘We are going to die, where will we go?’ It was a scene filled with fear and panic."

"The war with Iran was difficult for us because we are living in unrecognized villages with no shelters. We were scared that many missiles and other (threats) could fall on us because we don’t have shelters. Even ambulances don’t reach the unrecognized village because there are no main roads."
