She earned three golds and a silver, helping the U.S. women’s gymnastics team secure their first title since 2016.
Meanwhile, comedian Shane Gillis hosted the event with a controversial monologue that drew mixed reactions for its edgy jokes.
Katie Schumacher-Cawley, Penn State volleyball coach, received the Jimmy V Award for Perseverance after battling breast cancer while leading her team to an NCAA title.
The Indianapolis Colts and Sloane Stephens were also honored for their contributions to mental health awareness and inclusivity in sports.
