The latest round of peace talks between Russia and Ukraine broke up after less than an hour. Expectations were low for the meeting hosted by Turkey.
Both sides had warned a breakthrough would be unlikely. A Russian negotiator says the two sides have agreed to exchange 1,200 prisoners of war each, and potentially hand over the bodies of thousands of dead soldiers. Ukrainian diplomats say Kyiv has offered to attend a leaders’ summit aimed at ending the war by the end of next month.
