STORYLINE:
A dusty smoke cloud billowed into the air following an explosion in the Gaza Strip on Sunday.
The blast happened shortly before 1000 local time (0700 GMT).
Earlier, the Israeli military announced a “tactical pause” in fighting in three areas of Gaza to address the worsening humanitarian situation.
Starting Sunday, the military was to halt activity in Muwasi, Deir al-Balah, and Gaza City from 1000 to 2000 local time daily (0700-1700 GMT).
Secure routes would also be designated to help aid agencies deliver food and supplies.
The move came a day after the military said it would resume airdrops into Gaza and followed months of warnings about famine due to Israeli aid restrictions.
