STORYLINE:
Thousands of military personnel and civilians gathered to watch the traditional Military Parade celebrating Peru’s independence day.
Peruvian President Dina Boluarte saluted troops as they marched by.
Alongside armed forces and the police, various dancers took part in the parade, showcasing the country’s rich folkloric diversity.
More than 7,000 military and police personnel participated in the parade.
