STORYLINE:
Two firefighters were injured on Wednesday battling a blaze in hillside villages around the Montenegrin capital, Podgorica.
Fires that broke out in several locations in Montenegro have forced the government to ask for help from the EU and NATO.
Croatia sent its specialized planes and Serbia sent helicopters.
One Montenegrin soldier died on Tuesday while driving a truck with water to a remote village caught up in the blaze.
Houses in some of the villages around Podgorica were burned and residents evacuated.
Six people were arrested yesterday, accused of starting some of the fires.
Police said they will deploy drones to control the area for possible further arsonists trying to cause fires.
Montenegro is prone to forest fires in the summer, especially during relentless heatwaves combined with strong hot winds.
