1. Foreign Minister Wang Yi has just concluded his visit to India, which has drawn considerable attention. Could the spokesperson provide more details?
During the visit, both sides agreed to restart dialogue mechanisms across various fields, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, uphold multilateralism, jointly address global challenges, and oppose unilateral bullying. On the boundary issue, they reached a new consensus on conducting regular management, maintaining peace and tranquility in border areas, properly handling sensitive points, and launching boundary delimitation negotiations in areas where conditions permit.
Foreign Minister Wang Yi pointed out that in October last year, President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Modi held a successful meeting in Kazan, which guided the restart and renewed momentum of China-India relations. Both sides earnestly implemented the important consensus reached by the leaders, promoting bilateral relations into a new process of improvement and development. This situation has not come easily and should be cherished.
As two major neighboring countries and two major developing countries, China and India share similar philosophies and broad common interests, and should trust and support each other. 2. The war in Gaza has reached today 685 days, and in the shadow of what has been seen by international organizations as a starvation policy by the Israeli occupation. Yesterday, there was a press conference in Qatar by the Qatar foreign minister spokesman, and he said that Hamas has agreed on a draft by mediators, and even the foreign minister of Egypt has mentioned that the Palestinian side has agreed on a draft of a ceasefire or a permanent ceasefire. Now some analysts say the ball is in the Israeli side, whether Israel has a choice of going to that ceasefire and agreeing and negotiating on some details or recalling, now they are recalling 60,000 from the Israeli military, and to go into the plan of reoccupying Gaza.
