Xi, Modi, Putin at SCO: More than just a show of strength againt the US? | DW News

World leaders gathered in China have signed an agreement to strengthen security and economy ties. Russia’s Vladmir Putin and India’s Narendra Modi were among those to join China’s Xi Xinping for the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation.
The SCO covers 40 percent of the world’s population. China is eager for it to take a larger role on the global stage – in a possible challenge to US dominance. Analysis from DW’s Clifford Coonan
