6. SOUNDBITE (English) Lars Bill, sailor and project manager for Saga Farmann:
“They had built a ship based on the Klåstadship. That was a shipwreck found in the 60s in Norway. A shipwreck from the Viking age that went down in a storm in 998.”

9. SOUNDBITE (English) Lars Bill, sailor and project manager for Saga Farmann:
“As it was a shipwreck, it had been laying on the bottom of the sea, covered, and eventually, as the land was rising after the last ice age, it was in a field in the 1960s. And both the ends were gone. Only one side of the ship, where it was leaning after the storm, was preserved. So we had to reconstruct to figure out how long was the ship. And then we borrowed two standard Norwegian Viking ship ends from other finds down in Denmark.”

UPSOUND (English) Lars Bill, sailor and project manager for Saga Farmann:
“So we have invested in the loo, but not the privacy, because the loo is here, right down here, and it’s proper. You’ve got water flush and everything, and a sewage tank and everything. But when sitting down here, you can still have a chat with your crew members around you, and… you know…but it works.”

12. SOUNDBITE (English) Lars Bill, sailor and project manager for Saga Farmann:
“Our plan to stay at the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, it fell through due to the cost of doing it. It was actually way too expensive to get through that plan. So just a few days ago, I got the no-go on that plan, and now I’m here in St. Katharine Docks, and nowhere to put my ship for the winter. So I’m eager to get in contact with the small harbours, and places where they have a crane that can lift the ship, twelve tons, and put it on land and host it for the winter.”
