Venezuela’s president rejects drug allegations in letter to Trump| DW News

Left-wing Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has denied U.S. allegations that he is involved in large-scale drug trafficking to the United States. In a letter to Donald Trump, Maduro dismissed the claims as "fake news." His reelection last year was widely viewed as fraudulent by the international community, and relations between Venezuela and the U.S. have deteriorated sharply.
