Trump makes unproven claim linking Tylenol to autism | DW News

US President Donald Trump has warned pregnant women not to take paracetamol, the active ingredient in the painkiller Tylenol and Panadol – citing an unproven link to autism. Trump said the US Food and Drug Administration would notify doctors that the use of Tylenol during pregnancy ‘can be associated’ with an increased risk of autism. But doctors and researchers say there is no known single cause of autism.
