"The blood of our children is for him (Benjamin Netanyahu), a political tool to hold on to the throne. Because as long as there is war, Netanyahu has a government, and if we do not rise up against him, he will declare eternal war on us. Netanyahu will forever be remembered as a murderer for the sake of preserving power."

4. SOUNDBITE (English) Zahiro Shahar Mor, nephew of israeli hostage Avraham Munder:
"Netanyahu has already killed 42 hostages by choosing military pressure instead of pursuing a comprehensive deal to end the war. From the very beginning, Hamas set its demand: an end to the war in exchange for the release of all the hostages. Netanyahu, the perpetual refuser, chose to sabotage every opportunity to bring the hostages home."

STORYLINE:
Relatives of Israeli hostages held in Gaza gathered on Saturday near Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s residence in Jerusalem, calling for more protests to pressure the government to end the war with Hamas and secure the release of the remaining captives.

"As long as there is war, Netanyahu has a government, and if we do not rise up against him, he will declare eternal war on us," said Einav Zangauker, mother to hostage Matan Zangauker.

Israeli strikes killed at least 14 people overnight in Gaza City, health officials said, as Israel ramps up its offensive there and urges Palestinians to leave.

Gaza’s Health Ministry said the death count in Gaza surpassed 65,100 since the Oct. 7, 2023, attack by Hamas that triggered the war.

The ministry, part of a Hamas government, does not say how many of the dead were civilians or militants.

Its figures are seen as a reliable estimate by the U.N. and many independent experts.

Hamas-led militants stormed into southern Israel in the 2023 attack, killing around 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and abducting 251 others.

Forty-eight hostages remain in Gaza, with fewer than half believed to still be alive.
