Disabled children in the coronavirus pandemic | COVID-19 Special

The coronavirus pandemic has made life difficult for families, and it has hit those with disabled children especially hard. Many of them, like kids with down syndrome, have a weakened immune system and are forced into isolation during the pandemic. But being isolated can have dramatic consequences for kids with special needs. They need social contact to not feel outcast. It’s crucial for their development.
