Breaking: Putin announced unilateral Easter truce for Ukraine | DW News

Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced a unilateral Easter truce for the war in Ukraine. In a televised address, Putin said the pause in fighting would begin this evening, 19.04, and last through to Sunday. He said Russian troops should be "ready to repel violations and provocations by Ukraine." Meanwhile, Kyiv said drones have been spotted above the city. And Ukraine’s President Zelenskyy called the truce "another attempt by Putin to play with human lives."
