“I can’t remember a time in my life when this wasn’t the goal. I literally remember being like nine years old, I came and auditioned for Clara and then I remember waiting to be 13 so I could audition for Rockettes Summer Intensive is what it was then. And so I feel like this has always been such a driving factor in my life.”

“We have over a thousand people here signed up to audition for us today. I can’t wait to see what comes into the room and the talent that comes through the room. It’s really fun to see people from all over the world represented at our auditions.”

“The first day is a little harder just because they wear numbers, so this is the only time we wear numbers. After that we will call everybody by their name. It’s just an effort to save time and keep the process moving.”

“I always kind of felt like I knew I wanted to be a performer, but it wasn’t until I was about 12 years old that I was watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and I was watching the Rockettes perform and I saw these 36 women dancing. It was almost as if they were coming out of the TV screen. I was so moved I was crying and I remember turning to my mom and saying, ‘I want to be them one day. I want to be one of those women out on, you know, out in New York City pursuing her dreams.’ So here we are today.”
