“We always believe that military cooperation between countries should not target or hurt the interests of any third party, nor should it jeopardize regional peace and stability. The South China Sea should be a sea of peace, cooperation and friendship. However, the Philippines holds a candle to the devil by currying favor and colluding with the U.S. and other outside countries to make provocations. It frequently conducts the so-called joint patrols and exercises and invites and deploys strategic and tactical weapons, which seriously undermines the common interests of regional countries. We firmly oppose any country strengthening military deployment in the region and provoking tensions and confrontation under the excuse of the Taiwan issues. Regardless of external challenges and turbulence, China will resolutely safeguard our territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests, and will strongly maintain peace and stability in the region.”

“Some individuals in the U.S. see the Chinese military through colored lens and hype up the so-called China military threat. I think this is the obstacle hindering engagements between the Chinese and U.S. militaries. No conflict, no confrontation and peaceful coexistence is in the most fundamental interests of both China and the U.S. and meets the common expectation of people across the world. We have a sober understanding of our own development. We hope the U.S. will break away from persecutory delusion and stop constantly using others as excuses.”

“The Asia Pacific is a promising land for peace and development, not a hunting ground for geopolitical power competition. Blindly showing off one’s force as well as obsession with power and provoking trouble is itself the kind of stress test that no regional country wants to see or take. We hope the U.S. will do more to promote peace and stability in the region rather than the opposite. China remains to become a force for peace, stability and progress in the Asia Pacific and will never be misguided, intimidated or pressured. We will resolutely safeguard our national sovereignty, security and development interests.”

“’Eagles of civilization 2025′ joint air force exercise is the first joint exercise between the Chinese and Egyptian armed forces. The two sides deployed fighter jets, early warning aircraft, tankers, and helicopters to the drill. Drills on air combat and air refuelling began on April 19th and subsequent exercises on air support, battlefield search and rescue, and others will be carried out. The joint exercise will run until early May. The exercise cooperation between the Chinese fighter jets and the Egyptian Air Force that you mentioned is beneficial to improve the technical and tactical level of the participating troops of the two countries, and will further deepen and promote the practical collaboration between the Chinese and Egyptian militaries."
