STORYLINE:
Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and Spike Lee were among the Hollywood luminaries on hand as Francis Ford Coppola was honored Saturday night in Los Angeles with the American Film Institute’s lifetime achievement award.
Harrison Ford, Jack Black, Ron Howard, Elle Fanning, Dustin Hoffman and Ralph Macchio also walked the red carpet for the ceremony honoring the Oscar-winning 86-year-old filmmaker – known for the "Godfather" trilogy, "Apocalypse Now," and "The Conversation."
Coppola, whose most recent film was last year’s "Megalopolis," is the 50th recipient of the AFI award.
