VOICEOVER: With the eyes of Indian cricket stars on him, and praise from his older contemporaries, Suryavanshi could now be on the fast-track to international cricket stardom.

STORYLINE:
The 14-year-old batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi has hit a breathtaking century in the Indian Premier League and one of the greatest innings in men’s Twenty20 cricket.

It comes just nine days ago he became the youngest player to debut in IPL history.

Suryavanshi surpassed all expectations on Monday by hitting a century in his third match. It’s the second fastest in the tournament’s 18 years.

He reached 100 runs in just 35 balls by pulling Gujarat Titans spinner Rashid Khan for a six.

He hit 11 sixes and seven fours as 94 of his runs come from boundaries. Suryavanshi was out soon after for 101.

His Rajasthan Royals chased down Gujarat’s total with 25 balls to spare.
