"There is no meat in the market. No source of protein. Canned food is running out. There is no nutrition at all. Even healthy children, with no diseases, have started to come to us showing signs of lack of food, weakness, frailty, and repeated gastric flu. All because of weakened immunity as a result of lack of food that helps them grow in a healthy way."

"She was born weighing 3.1 kilograms (6.83 pounds), natural weight. Breastfeeding was her main source (of nutrition). I was the main source of nutrition for her. Now she is 7-month-old and she only gained 300 grams (0.66 pounds)."

"When I was pregnant, I was suffering like my son and even more. I was suffering from severe malnutrition because of lack of food. I was pregnant and gave birth in war. I was exhausted in pregnancy and during birth and I went to a hospital to see a doctor daily. I was not able to move because of lack of food and malnutrition. There was no vegetables, or meat or anything."
