"A huge military, Israeli military forces with bulldozers invaded Khalet Aldabe which is the community we are in now, and they started destroying homes after forcing families to leave their homes, taking them out, children, women, men, taking their properties out of their homes and then destroying the home after another. Caves underground have been destroyed, sheep’s shelters, almost no structure left in the community, just maybe two or three left, and the demolition is continuing even in the moment we are talking. About 120 people living in this small village and around 50 structures that they had for the sheep and for homes to live in and the school, caves and almost everything is destroyed, just a few left, as we said. Since October 7th, the Israeli army with the settlers established three illegal outposts around this community and now erasing this village to create more and more Israeli illegal settlements in the area."

STORYLINE:
Israeli military bulldozers demolished most of a Palestinian village in the Israeli West Bank on Monday, taking out infrastructure and leaving residents wandering amid the rubble of their homes.
The bulldozers rolled into the Khalet Aldabe community on Monday morning, taking down most of the 50-person village’s structures, said Basel Adra, a filmmaker, journalist and activist from the area.
Nine homes, five tents and five animal pens were demolished, said Mohammed Rabia, head of the village council in the area.
The demolitions occurred in an area of the West Bank known as Masafer Yatta, where radical Israeli settlers have been expanding a network of outposts in the area.
The Israeli military did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the demolitions. It has previously said that structures in the area were built illegally.
Palestinians have long said that securing Israeli permission to build in the West Bank is nearly impossible.
