STORYLINE:
An Israeli strike on Tuesday hit a school-turned shelter in central Gaza Strip, killing 18 people, including four children, according to Palestinian health officials.
Khalil al-Dokran, Al Aqsa Hospital spokesperson, told the Associated Press that more than 70 people were injured in the strike.
Those killed and injured were then taken to Al Aqsa and Awda hospitals.
The health ministry said in its latest updated tally that 52,615 have been killed and 118,752 others injured since the war began on October 7, 2023.
