2. SOUNDBITE (English) Cedric the Entertainer, actor/producer and Max Greenfield, actor:
(Reporter: "As a leader in this industry, how do you—what is the solution that you think could take place of bringing production back to Los Angeles, keeping people employed here, especially given the way that people were affected by the wildfires?")
"I mean, you know, so many, all those things have affected this business in a great deal. I mean, you know, governor is trying to do some tax rebates and opportunities to give us some deductions here. I think you have to attract people that, you know, production is very expensive, but we have great crews here. We have really talented people and writers, and people want to work at home. They want to work in the state. It’s got so much wonderful topography where you can make California look like any place in the world. So, I think that that’s one of the things that we just gotta figure out how to make it more affordable to do, but people are willing to work. And I mean even to the point that we know that the cost of it is coming down to on some levels, but still, it’s this thing that we got all try to look for ways to do it more creative, be better and then have the support of those people of those the big finance people that’s like, Hey stop trying to get every dollar let everybody eat a little bit, you know.’"

4. SOUNDBITE (English) Cedric the Entertainer, Max Greenfield:
(Reporter: "…his motion to potentially introduce new tariffs on international film and television production.")
"These are the things that don’t help, you know, I mean, you know, theoretically, you know, people had to take a lot of movies outside the country just to get them made. If you’re going to do that and then put a 100% tariff to bring it back into the country, it just doesn’t do a service to one, you know, the entertainment that we’re used to and what we have and the fact that again, ‘You ain’t in movies, dog. Yeah, your little TV show overall is that old ‘Apprentice,’ nonsense, nobody care about that no more. Stay out, do your thing, president. We do movies and TV. Be a president ."
5. Mid shot of Wilmer Valderrama and Sean Murray chatting with a reporter
6. SOUNDBITE (English) Wilmer Valderrama, actor and Sean Murray, actor with Katrina Law, actor:
Valderrama: "The important thing for our industry right now is to continue to tell stories and continue to inspire people and and really bring people together. I think our responsibility as storytellers is to continue to create spaces where we can all coexist in spaces where we can thrive together. Look, our industry—it’s not a mystery that we’re going through a very, very struggling moment where everyone’s trying to make sure that we continue to make the stories and continue to financially be able to make the stories. So, we only hope that we can continue to make shows that people like and and that’s at the end of it. I think we’ll find a way. Entertainment is always going to be something that is going to be needed and it feels like an essential release now more than ever."
